BURR RIDGE, IL — The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) is pleased to launch their FY24/25 Job Task Analysis Report.
The report, based on field surveys and focus groups with subject matter experts, outlines the knowledge and tasks massage therapists use in their work every day. This information highlights the versatility and skill that massage therapists offer, while providing a career roadmap for those entering the profession.

This information will be used as the basis for revisions to the Board Certification Exam in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCETMB®). This exam must be passed to earn Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCTMB®), the highest credential within the massage and bodywork profession. Choosing to become Board Certified demonstrates advanced assessment and critical thinking abilities, as well as providing instant credibility to current and prospective clients and employers. The program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
